2012 BMW Winner

Art of the Vine 2012

April 13th proved to be a lucky Friday for all who attended New Hope for Kids 11th annual Art of the Vine at Fields BMW. This popular fundraiser netted $218,299 for our Center for Grieving Children and Wishes for Kids programs!

Wishful Thinking

Rosie Wilder, Director of Wishes for Kids, is our very own real-life Fairy Godmother. Get to know her better by reading the article written by Pamela and Tony Ruben which is featured in February’s issue of Central Florida Lifestyle magazine. Rosie’s strength, positive outlook and caring spirit are sure to inspire you.

Sharing this article could be worth $230K to New Hope for Kids!

How would you like to be the person who helps us raise $115,000 x 2 ?! The property in Eustis that was donated to us is for sale and we need a buyer! Thanks to currently available matching funds, the sale of this completely renovated property has the potential of raising $230,000 which would move us significantly closer to our goal of purchasing a larger facility for our grief and wish program services and administrative offices.

WANTED: A FEW GOOD MEN

Men, I need some help over here! As Volunteer Coordinator I am surrounded daily by nothing but women! I can’t complain too much…But for our kids, having more positive male role models in their life is crucial. Many of our children have lost their father and they truly thrive having a male presence around, even if it is just while they are here at the Grief Center.

2010 Toy Drive Success!

Each year we start our toy drive with anticipation and a bit of nervousness wondering if we’ll be able to provide holiday assistance to the families of New Hope for Kids. And each year the need for help during the holidays increases. The financial struggles of the families in our grief and wish programs are relentless in this fragile economy. We are pleased to report that hope and generosity are alive and well in Central Florida! Our 2010 Holiday Toy Drive was a great success. Countless individuals and businesses contributed enough toys and financial donations that we were able to distribute 2,815 gifts to 569 children. Thank you, Central Florida. Your compassion for the children in our programs is inspiring and overwhelming!

A charity run for the rest of us!

It was a charity run for the rest of us! On August 21st, SomaCow presented Cure for the Run, a 0.05K to benefit New Hope for Kids. Wall Street was taken by storm with live music, fantastic door prizes, a dunk tank, bounce house, and 164 feet of flat-footed fundraising! SomaCow Radio is an Orlando based internet podcast station who found out about New Hope’s mission and took action. In only their second year of Cure for the Run, SomaCow’s hosts, listeners, and friends put in countless hours of hard work and raised over $5,000 for New Hope for Kids! We thank SomaCow for taking the lead and making a difference in so many children’s lives. Visit CureForTheRun.com to view more information about the event. Thank you SomaCow…We had a blast!
