Grief Support

New Hope for Kids provides grief support to children ages 3-18 and their families after the death of a loved one. Group activities help grieving children process their emotions and learn healthy ways to express the complex feelings that come with grief. In our adult support group, parents and caregivers find compassion, guidance, and a safe place to share their experiences and emotions.

ONLY Parents and Legal Guardians (including case managers) are authorized to register a child for New Hope for Kids’ grief services.

Group Offerings: In-Person (Limited Capacity)  Every other Tuesday and Thursday 6-7:30. Virtual via Zoom every other Wednesday from 6-7:30pm.

Virtual Grief Support Groups provide a safe and supportive space for children ages 3-19 who have experienced a death, to come together from the comfort of their homes or while on the go.  Using Zoom, kids are welcomed into our online family to do activities to help process their experiences and feelings while interacting with peers and our trained grief facilitators.  Parents and caretakers are encouraged to join our simultaneous Adult Support Group, led by an adult support counselor in a separate breakout room.
