Wishes for Kids Program

The Longest Running Wish Program In Central Florida

About the Program:
The Wishes for Kids Program serves children with life-threatening illnesses who have not yet reached their 19th birthday and have not had a previous wish granted. A life-threatening illness is defined by New Hope for Kids as any condition likely to shorten the child’s life expectancy.

Our Mission:
While we cannot cure their illnesses, we strive to bring joy and light to these children’s lives. Our program offers not only wishes but also ongoing support, resources, and a sense of community for these special families.

What Makes Our Program Unique

Focus:

New Hope Wishes for Kids is an independent, community-driven charity serving Central Florida. Since 1985, it has been dedicated to granting wishes for children facing life-threatening illnesses, ensuring that all funds raised stay local to benefit children and families within the community. This commitment strengthens the local economy by directing donations back into Central Florida, building a support network that prioritizes the health and well-being of local children during difficult times. Through its efforts, New Hope creates lasting memories and brings hope to children and families when they need it most.

Support:

Our close proximity to wish recipients allows us to provide continued support beyond the initial wish, making them part of the New Hope Family. Through regular activities, we offer opportunities for fun, shared resources, and emotional support, helping to prevent isolation and foster lasting connections among families.

Flexibility:

We cater to a wide range of needs, personalizing each wish to reflect the child’s best interests. Our adaptable approach ensures every child’s unique situation is honored, creating a truly memorable and special experience for each wish recipient.
