Presidents & Kids

In the history of Wishes for Kids (aka Children’s Wish Foundation), three United States Presidents have granted wishes to our children. They’ve included Presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Each President took time from his very crowded schedule to visit with a special needs child. This was a genuinely non-partisan agreement—to bring honor and happiness to a child.

Perhaps you’re thinking, “Well, that’s fine for a President; but who would wish to spend time with me?” According to Dr. Jim Taylor, a trusted parenting expert and author,”Children become the messages they get the most.”

Take a moment, look around. Is there a brother, sister, son, daughter, niece, nephew, cousin or neighbor who would benefit from spending time with you? Bend a knee, get on a child’s level and smile. Share something encouraging, funny, or kind. Help them become self-confident, happy children, because every child is special.
