Disney Supports New Hope for Kids

May 12, 2009

Hundreds of charitable organizations applied, but only 30 were chosen, and one of them was New Hope for Kids! In their efforts to support the well-being of the children and families of Central Florida, The Walt Disney Company selected New Hope for Kids to receive a donation of $25,700. Executive director, Dave Joswick, and board members, Pat Michaels, Elizabeth Peele and Dr. Todd Husty, met at the Center for Grieving Children on May 12, 2009 as fellow board member, Rick Allen, presented the check on behalf of Disney, where he serves as General Manager of Walt Disney World Resort Operations.

The Walt Disney Company has continually aimed to be a positive and productive member of the community, and the needs of children are always considered in their charitable initiatives. Their decision to support New Hope for Kids demonstrates Disney’s commitment to children and families, whom they consider to be the heart of their organization. The Walt Disney Company’s enduring principles of integrity, optimism and decency make this honor truly exceptional and reflects their appreciation of and trust in our programs.

Thank you, Walt Disney Company, for your generous support!
